ONE FINE DAY e.V. and ANNO’S AFRICA
would like to thank you very much for all the donations from the Fundraiser-Exhibition in November 2009 and the Fundraiser-Screening of SOUL BOY in May 2010. We have opened new SATURDAY CLUBS which run throughout the year in different slums of Nairobi: Two art clubs, one ballet club, one music and one dance club.

You can find a fine selection of the children’s artwork in our gallery and you are welcome to chose a painting for your or donation.
Thank you for your support! of ONE FINE DAY e.V. and ANNO'S AFRICA.

One Fine Day

One Fine Day e.V.

ONE FINE DAY e.V. is a Berlin-based non-profit organisation founded by Marie Steinmann and Tom Tykwer in 2008.

The organisation's aim is to introduce children and young adults from disadvantaged backgrounds in some of the world's poorest countries to the imaginary spaces offered by art and artistic exploration.

Many schools and educational projects in the so-called Third World lack the resources to offer classes in arts - be it painting, music, drama or dance.

In close co-operation with the British NGO, ANNO'S AFRICA, ONE FINE DAY e.V. intends to implement a lasting infrastructure through which can change the situation and provide a lasting improvement.

This is based on our firm belief that children and young adults, who are given the opportunity to explore their cultural identity and develop a creative vocabulary, will stand a better chance of leading fulfilling and content lives as well as acquiring a sense of self-determination.

Those who grow up in extreme poverty are likely to be confronted with violence, hunger, illness and death very early on in life. Creative self-awareness can provide the key to an inner sanctuary, a safe haven for reflection, where people can come to terms with their traumatic experiences.

ONE FINE DAY e.V. aims to help to open these spaces both inside people and for people.
